Derby 540 Upholstery Foam Adhesive is a synthetic rubber based adhesive.
Application Areas
It is a fireproof, flooring and mattress adhesive for general use. It is used for bonding sponge to each other, metal, wood, mdf, fabric, jute blanket and leather. It can be applied single and double sided. It is an adhesive with elastic adhesion and high initial adhesion.
Application
It is applied with a spray gun or lamination machine. Adhesive and material temperature should not be below 15°C. Surfaces must be dry, clean, free from dust and oil. The adhesive is applied thinly and evenly to the surfaces to be bonded with the help of a spray gun. For spray applications, 1.8 to 2.5 nozzles and a pressure of 3 to 4 bar are recommended. After the adhesive is applied to the surfaces, it should be waited for a while before joining. If the product does not stick to your hand when you touch it, it is ready to be combined. For absorbent surfaces, two coats should be applied.
Shelf life
It is 12 months in its unopened original package, under appropriate storage conditions and at room temperature.
