Derby D251 High Temperature Silicone is a high performance silicone developed for sealing, bonding and repair works where high temperature resistance is required. It is an ideal filling material for joints in buildings that may be exposed to high temperatures. It is a silicone that maintains its elasticity by reacting with atmospheric moisture.

Properties
• It is resistant up to 250°C in continuous exposure and up to 300°C in temporary exposure.
• Acetoxy system cures, cures at room temperature.
• It is 100% silicone.
• Cures fast, shows high strength.
• After curing, it is resistant to mechanical stresses.
• It maintains its flexibility between -40°C and +250°C.
• It does not crack, does not lose volume, does not become brittle.

Application Areas

Shelf life

Warning
It can cause corrosion in sensitive metals (zinc, brass, copper, etc.), marble and other natural stones. It cannot be painted over. It is not suitable for parts that are in constant contact with fuel, diesel and oils.
Long-term inhalation of the vapor released during curing may damage the respiratory system. Therefore, care should be taken to use it in sufficiently ventilated environments. Prolonged contact with uncured silicone should be avoided.
